What can microneedling be used for?

Microneedling is commonly considered for concerns such as skin texture, the appearance of some scars and facial lines. Suitability depends on your skin, medical history and the device being used.

What to expect

A consultation should take place first. During treatment, a trained provider uses a microneedling device over the selected area. Temporary redness, tightness, dryness, bruising or mild bleeding can occur.

Safety

Microneedling is not suitable for everyone. Active skin infection, certain skin conditions, bleeding problems, some medicines and other health factors can affect suitability. Always disclose your medical history and current medication before treatment.

Aftercare

Skin can be more sensitive after treatment. Follow the clinic’s instructions on cleansing, skincare, sun exposure and when to resume active products or makeup.
